Last week my wife heard that Ponderosa had a Sunday breakfast bar.  We used to love going to Shoneys, and still do every time we head South.  So we were excited to hear that there was a breakfast bar locally that we could attend.

The restaurant looks like they've finished up the remodeling, and it looked nice.  Too bad they didn't consider remodeling their menu as well.  We weren't impressed.

The eggs were pretty good, but that was about all.  The bacon was VERY crispy and plastic-ish.  The biscuits were not really fluffy and the syrup for the crunchy french toast sticks was thin.

Now, some of our kids (and we have plenty) had the fried chicken, green beans, mashed potatos, and they liked it.

Ponderosa breakfast bar?  Not for me, thanks.  It was overpriced and very much not worth it.  We honestly feel bad that we didn't spend $50 bucks on groceries instead.

On a scale of 1-10, I'd give it a 2.  Pathetic.
