Restaurant review: Quiznos PDF Print E-mail

The new Quiznos in the new Richardson Crossing center is open for business.  This review is based on two visits by my son and myself.

On our first visit, I ordered the Double Stack Pastrami, regular size.  It was a generous portion of Pastrami with Swiss cheese, sliced pickles and their Smoky mustard.  I had it made on Wheat bread.  The pastrami was nicely sliced, but not a 'strong' flavored pastrami and was piled high.  The bread was fresh and soft, except for the crispness from toasting.  A very satisfying sandwich, along with chips and a drink.

On the second visit, I ordered a Black Angus Steak sandwich.  I ordered it as described on the menu with rosemary parmesan bread, Black Angus steak, mozzarella, cheddar, mushrooms, sauteed onions, Honey Bourbon Mustard & Zesty Grill Sauce.  The steak was perfect for me, but some might be turned off by the 'rare' look of it as it is being made.  The portion was not as generous as the Double Stack previously, but still satisfied.  This time with a side salad and drink.  The 'zesty grill sauce' was exactly that, zesty!.

On both visits my son had the same sandwich, the Chicken Carbonara, which is chicken, bacon, mozzarella mushrooms and Creamy Bacon Alfredo sauce.  All I could get him to say is that it is REALLY good!

They on all occasions offered breads other than the ones in the sandwich descriptions, toppings as desired, and even offered me some extras for my salad.  Service was fast and very friendly.  The restaurant was clean and inviting.  There are some unusual choices in drinks and chip flavors as well. And if you are a pepper fan, they have a pepper bar.

Sandwiches are offered in three sizes, and prices, while seeming high initially, are well in line considering the quality and quantity of the  food.
