We have a new favorite Chinese restaurant.  Actually, it has been our favorite for several months.  As Chinese restaurants go, it is pretty standard, same green furniture, same menu board, same menu etc.  We all have our favorites, and usually order the same things which include Teriyaki Chicken skewer appetizer, Crab Rangoon, Egg Drop Soup, Chicken Lo Mein, Pork Fried Rice, Beef & Broccoli Combo and Singapore Rice Noodles.  The food is always prepared fresh and served hot.  One of the things that impress me is that in all dishes, the important things are plentiful, like chicken in the Lo Mein, filling in the Crab Rangoon, Egg in the soup. The Teriyaki Chicken skewers are one of the kids favorites, with large pieces of chicken on the 5 skewers $3.95.

The Egg Drop Soup has lots of egg white in it, and is very good.  The fried noodles served with it however are sometimes a bit over fried but still it is better than most. $1.20, or $2.10

The Crab Rangoon is well filled and not too sweet.  8 pcs for $3.95

The standout dish for me is the Singapore Rice Noodles.  It is a 'bowl" full of delicate rice noodles, shrimp, chicken, pork and beef all colored a paprika red with spice and some sauce.  The first time I considered it, I was told it was a spicy dish and almost did not order it.  However, they offered to tone it down for me, and it was very good, with just enough spice to make it interesting.  AND every time I go back, they remember and do that for me. $7.95

Part of what makes this our favorite is the fact that while always friendly to the customers, after being regulars, we are treated very well, and they are always genuinely happy to see us.Taste in Chinese food is very subjective, due to differences in sauces, provinces, (Hunan, Peking etc) and the many types, and one persons favorite, can be the worst for the next person, but,  China Wok is definitely worth a try!

4.5 stars for China WokOur rating - 4.5 out of 5 stars
